Clamping sleeves or also called dowel pins are made of spring steel, which is formed into an almost closed tube. How far the dowel pin can be compressed in the installed condition depends on the diameter, which is therefore selected differently depending on the area of application. To make it easier to fit the dowel pin, it is conical at both ends.
