Square logging chain

The logging chain enables tree trunks to be recovered in rough terrain. Thanks to the square shape of the individual links, the loop tightens automatically when the trunk is pulled. The single-sided suspension link is attached to the tractor and anchored. The shortening hook with clevis is used to shorten the forestry chain. It is simply hooked into the link of the skidding chain so that the required length can be achieved. The perfectly chosen chain length of 2.5 m and the tensile force of 6000 daN contribute to making the work easier. The forestry chain has a chain thickness of 8 mm and is classified in quality class 10. All these factors play a role in recovering the log with as little time and effort as possible.
