Description

Shrinking hose (by the metre)

Shrinking hoses have established themselves as a universal tool with a variety of different applications. The term shrinking hose refers to a plastic hose with the property of contracting strongly when exposed to heat. This means that whatever is inside the shrinking hose remains airtight and watertight. Shrinking hoses are therefore ideal for insulating cables and other objects, for example to prevent short circuits. Generally speaking, shrinking hoses differ in terms of wall thickness, diameter and shrinkability.

Our premium shrinking hose is available for a wide range of applications and in many colours. Its excellent chemical, mechanical and electrical properties make it ideal for professional use.

Shrinking hoses are used, among other things:

  • for corrosion-protected sheating of a connector
  • as insulating hose for damaged cables
  • as kink protection and strain relief
  • as a shrink capsule
  • to prevent short circuits

        Technical details:

  • material: polyolefin
  • shrinking rate: 2:1
  • wall thickness before shrinking: 0.45 mm
  • wall thickness after shrinking: 0.85 mm
  • operating temperatures: -55 °C to +125 °C
