Preparation of the substrate:

The surfaces to be painted or primed must be clean, dry, grease-free, solid and free from mill scale, rust and other loose surface products that could negatively affect adhesion. Suitable pre-treatment measures include sandblasting in accordance with DIN EN ISO 12 944 / Part 4, to standardised purity grade SA 21/2, metallically pure. It is important to take the roughness depth into account when determining the dry film thickness, especially when primed parts are exposed. Chemical processes such as pickling, acidic or alkaline degreasing and/or the application of conversion coatings are also suitable as adhesion promoters. Galvanised, non-ferrous metal and stainless steel substrates must be treated with suitable cleaners. If necessary, sand or sweep and coat with an adhesion promoter. "Sanded through" primer coats must be restored. Old coatings that are not load-bearing must be removed; load-bearing coatings must be sanded before coating. It is advisable to create a test surface to check adhesion. In the case of plastic substrates and old coatings, the suitability of the cleaning agent or coating material should be tested before cleaning and coating. ("pulling up")

Overcoating/two-layer coating

Generally, overcoating by means of hot spraying should be avoided, i.e. always cold. Synthetic resin paints should always be recoated as thinly as possible and in several coats. (Solvent can escape better - intermediate flash-off) In order to avoid lifting, recoating is only possible after approx. 30 hours. This depends on the ambient temperature and the dry film thickness of the first coat of paint

Processing instructions:

Always stir the material thoroughly and homogeneously before use and clean all equipment immediately after use. It is recommended to rinse the spraying equipment several times. The frequency of cleaning depends on the spray volume, temperature and time elapsed.
Hoses, guns and other spraying equipment must be removed from the spray booth before forced drying. All equipment must be thoroughly rinsed several times with a suitable cleaning agent.   Signal word: Caution
