EDER Felling Wedge “TITAN 80 Pro”
The EDER Titan 80 Pro is a continuation of the proven EDER Titan 80.
The mechanically driven EDER Felling Wedge Titan 80 Pro is used in heavy timber harvesting and is an alternative to heavy wedge work.
Compared to classic wedge variants, the Titan 80 Pro offers the following advantages:
» It can be operated with an impact wrench up to 1300 Nm
» It is possible to unscrew and reposition the wedge if the stroke height is too low
» Energy-saving and ergonomically favorable work thanks to high lifting forces and gear ratios
» Increased safety when felling on slopes
» The risk of falling dead wood is reduced by vibration-free wedging
Features:
» Covered and sealed threaded drive and bearing
» Spring steel plates with gripping lugs
» Lifting wedge made of high-performance plastic
» Removable ratchet
Technical data:
» Length: 480 mm
» Width: 120 mm
» Height: 165 mm
» Lifting wedge HxWxL: 80 x 90 x 224 mm
» Wedge feed: 160 mm
» Stroke/revolution: 3 mm
» Max. lifting height: 80 mm
» Max. lifting force: 25 tons
» Max. torque: 300 Nm (equivalent to 70 kg on the ratchet)
» Length of ratchet: 400 mm
» Weight: 5.7 kg
Maintenance:
Adequate lubrication of all rotating and sliding parts is important for a long service life.
When the wedge is retracted, grease is pressed into the device and onto the sliding surfaces between the wedge and spring steel plates using a grease gun through the three side grease nipples.
Depending on the application, relubrication may be required up to several times a day.
Important note!
The spindle drive is mechanically limited. Once the full extension length of the lifting wedge has been reached, do not continue to turn the ratchet or impact wrench clockwise.
» Never turn the ratchet with force or extend it.
» Do not use an impact wrench with more than 1300 Nm on the Titan 80 Pro.
Tightening torques for the screws:
» 35 Nm for the screws on the spring steel plates (301900)
» 15 Nm for the screws on the drive nut (301500)
» Extension limit with approx. 50 Nm and 1 drop (Loctite 270) high-strength screw lock (caution: left-hand thread)
» Tighten the shaft nut by hand, then preload it by one-fifth of a turn and secure it with a locking plate
